Social Impact is An Art is a major exhibition, organised, for the 6th edition, in collaboration with the Cittadellarte - Fondazione Pistoletto ONLUS and the Kids Guernica Foundation, on the theme of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations through Michelangelo Pistoletto's concept The Third Paradise.

In June 2024, the Centre des arts carried out a number of educational projects, giving students the opportunity to work on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through art as a universal language. Under the title Third Paradise for Peace: Art with Social Impact, students collaborated with partners and artists over four days of workshops aimed at fostering innovation and deepening their understanding of social impact in connection to the SDGs.

Using large canvases, the acronym is represented by one of the goals chosen by the students, who use art to launch a thematic reflection on this particular goal. These canvases have then travelled around the world to various public and private schools, where students from different cultures have added their own insights, knowledge, and emotions. After a global tour involving around 3,000 students, the completed canvases will be displayed across the three floors of the Centre des arts.

The Preventive Peace Path Project

Under this new initiative led by renowned artist Michelangelo Pistoletto, we celebrated Peace on Monday, 17 June 2024, in partnership with the Cittadellarte-Pistoletto Foundation. This collaboration, which has been steadily evolving over the past decade through our 'Art for Social Impact' project, reflects our deep commitment to meaningful change.

Since 2017, Ecolint and its Centre des arts have been working closely with the Cittadellarte Foundation to develop projects inspired by Pistoletto's 'Third Paradise' concept, all within the framework of 'Art for Social Impact.' Each year, we kick off the school year with the 'Art for Social Impact' exhibition, showcasing the art projects our students create, which align with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, with support from Kids Guernica.

The 'Third Paradise' concept carries a powerful message of hope and responsibility for building a better world. By integrating the 'Preventive Peace Path' project into our mission, we are equipping the next generation with an even stronger platform to create positive and lasting impact.

Art4impact with Anouk Foundation
The role of the art in improving health and well-being.

This year, the Anouk Foundation presents an exhibition featuring the winners of the "Art4Impact" challenge, to complete these educational reflections.

"Art4Impact" is an opportunity to witness how art can transform the emotions of patients struggling with anxiety and isolation. Whether you're an art enthusiast or simply curious about how creativity can make a difference, this event is for you. Discover how a drawing created alongside the teachers at Ecolint can uplift and brighten the lives of children in hospitals. Since its inception in 2008, the therapeutic murals of the Anouk Foundation have been displayed in over 280 medical and social institutions across 18 countries.

Every year, the Social Impact is An Art exhibition takes visitors on a vibrant, sensory, educational, and didactic journey, demonstrating that living in peace begins with creating a responsible environment. By embracing diversity, fostering intercultural dialogue, and respecting differences, we lay the foundation for responsible living—an effort inspired by the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations Agenda 2030.
