Retrospective
A look back at five years of artistic performances and celebrations
From 16 November to 18 December 2020, the Centre des arts will be exhibiting a retrospective of the graphic design that lies behind all the events produced since 2015.
Over the last five years, the Centre des arts has hosted performances, exhibitions, conferences and screenings for students and the Geneva community. This retrospective gives us the opportunity to highlight the great diversity of the programme, the graphic and artistic work carried out by our graphic designer Francis Poncioni, as well as display the international collaboration with major partners, the multiculturality of the International School of Geneva and the artistic talents of our students and teachers.
A chronology that invites us to explore the first years of the Centre des arts, to observe the artistic intention within each poster in connection with the event, to analyse the artistic technique of the graphic design profession. Beyond this, the exhibition explores the questioning of artistic, educational and public work by bringing into play both aesthetic and emotional questions. This exhibition offers students of La Grande Boissière artistic mediations in connection with their curriculum, and they will be able to benefit from workshops and thematic tours organised by the Centre des arts and the Department of Visual Art.
This retrospective also gives us the opportunity to thank each teacher, staff and community member, and partner, and to celebrate each of the internal and external collaborations that have brought to the Centre des arts a unique, avant-garde, innovative and creative programme.
