A la chasse, ne tirez pas sur le corniste !
Concert by Ensemble Variante and the Orchestre de Lancy
Soloist: Christophe Sturzenegger
Conductor: Roberto Sawicki
Comedian: Thomas Diebold
Coproduction: Ensemble Variante, Ecolint Centre des arts, Orchestre de Lancy, Concerts de Lancy
Autumn... the heat is fading, the trees are changing colors, the first fogs are appearing... the hunting season is open!
The Ensemble Variante, in collaboration with the Orchestre de Lancy-Genève, offers a musical programme around this controversial practice, yet part of our culture, by putting forward the instrument linked to this universe: the horn. Mozart wrote five concertos for horn - as many as for the violin - which shows the importance he gave to this instrument.
The musician Christophe Sturzenegger will present this instrument to you. Haydn and Vivaldi also wrote pieces related to hunting. This concert will allow us to discover them thanks to the Lancy Geneva Orchestra, its conductor, Roberto Sawicki and the actor Thomas Diebold who will make the link between all these artists.
